A paperless concept in Document cum Visiting Card Scanner

Centrafest Technologies has launched two models of Document cum Visiting Card Scanner, according to a press release by the company. One designed only for laptop use and another for both laptop as well as PC. These color scanner comes with two software bundled one for managing the A4 size documents and another for visiting cards database.

Digital-imaging technology took a significant leap forward with the introduction of model 464. The newest member of TravelScan family and the industry's first 600 dpi high resolution truly portable A4 color scanner that interfaces to any standard USB port. The 600 dpi resolution provides the high quality of output for photo scanning and the better OCR quality. The TravelScan464 is a lightweight (390g) mobile scanner that requires no external power adapter. Its USB port connection feature allows for a fast and easy one-cable hook up to your notebook or desktop PC and the unique "launch" button starts your imaging application instantly.

PageManager 6.0 is a powerful yet easy-to-use document management solution for today's office. Utilizing NewSoft's award-winning OCR Engine, it converts paper-based documents into a digital format by scanning with an extremely high level of accuracy while retaining the format and layout of the original document. To obtain those documents PageManager supports a wide range of input devices, network digital copiers MFPs, and digital cameras. It does this by being TWAIN and WIA compliant.

After scanning the user can store their documents on disk, or organize them for fast retrieval and management. They can then share them with other applications like Microsoft Word or Excel.

PageManager can create PDF files from other formats allowing greater ability to share documents.
