Hutch & Intel Collaborate to Develop Smart Phone Applications in India

Intel, the world's largest chip maker, and Hutch, India’s leading cellular service provider, today announced that the two companies will jointly work on the development of smart phone applications in India. Hutch and Intel will work to develop application(s) for the low-power, space-sensitive cellular phone and PDA market segment. Based on Intel XScale technology, the PXA26x processor family delivers high performance and low power, while providing processing capabilities that allow wireless handsets to respond quickly to performance-intensive applications like MPEG4 video decode, speech and handwriting recognition, and Java* interpretation), application performance levels and physical space-savings, new usage models, its not only life style anymore.
